ive been exploring AD forums for a few days now and have come across question similar to mine, but have not really helped me.
i have a sony dvd rw dw-d22a, i checked for firmware upsdates and there arent any.
i have been using DVDdecryptor and DVD shrink ( and i think NERO).
ive been ripping my dvd's with decryptor, re-autho and back up with shrink.
this was working well with my anime and i was able to back up syriana, 4brothers, and 16blocks. i used memorex dvd-r. the ones with the movie reel printed on them.
i ran out of dvd's and got memorex and TDK. i tried backing up my Cheaper by the dozen and fantastic 4 dvd's but im getting errors when it actually starts to back up the movie.
i have tried the dvd shrink option to burn as and ISO indecryptor.
ive tried decrypting only the movie files.
the only thing that changed besides the media im using is that i installed ISO buster so can start the venture into backing up my games as well.
im at a loss and dont know what to do.
    im using xp sp2
    p4 3.2
    2gbram
    radeon x1300 256
    nero 6
    dvddecrypto 3.5.4.0
    dvdshrink 3.2.0.15
    any advice? ideals?
im getting this error message when using the dvd shrink option to burn as and ISO indecryptor:
    deviceIoConrol(fsctl_lock_volume) failed!
    device {3:0:0} sony dvd rw dvd-d22a bys2 (f:) (ATA)
unable to lock volume for exclusive access
    reason: access is denied.

and when i just try and buck up with nero in dvd shrink

Memorex is probably the worst media out there. Try some decent media, Taiyo yuden are highly rated.

    @cswalker

Sure memorex is crap media but to replace it by a TDK(TT coded i guess),it's not far from crap media too.Tdk is joining Memorex in the same sinking boat.

As you can see by yourself,Verbatim did pass through where the memorex and TDK all failed. So you better use good quality medias,Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim for example.
