Ok i have a starview working on ntl ireland cable ! Did a factory reset and automatic scan after inputting new codes. My brother isnt clued in on boxes so its up to me to fix his, however he has MMDS ntl, I have read that you will need to download software however I do not have a null cable ! My question is 'is' there anything I can do without downloading new software. I really like this forum and I find it helpful regarding Starview boxes ... I havent posted a question on Starview as I always look around the forum to see if it has been answered elsewhere. So I hope it hasnt slipped through my fingers but I cannot see a thread regarding this. Thanks a mill
Couple of questions. 1. What firmware is on the starview. Press Menu/System information. what is the API ver? 2. Did you set the emu to "ON" after factory reset. 3. Are you scanning on Your Cable or your brothers MMDS. 4. How many channels have you picked up. 5. Where are you located. I have a spare cable you can have. I'm in Dublin around Citywest.
