hi, i have 21 avi files all a 23fps, the audio is 192Kbps, they play fine on my computer with no problems, when when i burn them all to dvd and put it in my standalone dvd player the sound starts off ok but then just gets further and further out of sync.

    any ideas why??

    cheers

well i hate to answer a question with a question, but i have to ask. what app are you using? i usually use nero vision express or convertxtodvd. the only time i have a problem with these two is if the original is out of sync.

no the dvd seems to be fine when played back on my pc, so i;m guessing it;s my dvd player, but i have played other avi files on it before and then have played fine

Often a borderline disk will play ok on the burner that produced it and fall apart on the standalone player.
Burning at 4x on known reliable media (like 'Verbatim') and you eliminate that possibility.

ok, well the disks i have are unbranded, but i will try burning at 4x and see if it makes any difference as i burnt it at 8x.
