sound card help

    i had to install a new hard drive today. i have reinstalled all of the drivers for everything yet i am getting no sound so i went to the device manager and its telling me that the multimedia audio controller doesnt have any drivers installed. why would the comp not recognize the correct driver for this device and install it?

    did you install the soundcard driver? check to see what the exclamation mark is about as might indicate a conflict with another device so is not loaded.

    it just says that the drivers are not installed...but i did install them thats the issue...

    ok i fixed the issue with the soundcard drivers but the multimedia controller still isnt working...says its drivers arent installed

    multi-media is your sound so how can you have sound than if your multi-media is not loaded?
