I have a headset that plugs into the specker spot for the earphones and one into the microphone port for the mic. Problem is i can't get the mic to work. I have tried it on other mics and other computers so thats nto the problem. I have a friend who sad the problem might be my sounds card, get a USB mic. So before i get one, i wanna make sure it'll work, or try adn fix the other mic.

    Help?

Make sure the MIC is not muted as sometimes by default it can be...

    1. See the little speaker in the bottom right hand corner of your desktop (next to your time)....

    2. Double click the speaker and the Volume Control's will pop up...
    3. If you see a volume contol for the MIC make sure the slider is wright up and the Mute box is not ticked... If you cant see a slider at all for the MIC then you have to enable it....

    4. Click options then properties within the volume control..
    5. Make sure the Microphone box is ticked then click ok...
    6. Now make sure again that the Mute box is un ticked and the volume slider for it is wright up....

    : )

Ok, if you have checked all that ive said then how about checking your device manager and make sure their aint any conflicts on your sound card drivers?

If their are no conflicts within the device manager for your sound, then a USB MIC "should" work, no problem : )
