I managed to get my burner working. I burned two videos I had on my computer onto the DVD just to test things out. When I put the DVD in my player and turn it on about 5 minutes into it it'll start randomly not playing parts of the sound, resume, break off, resume, etc, basically leaving these blank seconds of no sound in the video which also causes the sound not to match the video. Anyone know why this is? Also the animation doesnt look so fluent and looks more forced along.

Sounds to me like a bad burn. Could you post a burn log here for us to look at? And what media are you using?

I unfortunately don't have a log. But on the burn options I burnt a new DVD with the sound setting as Dolby Digital (AC-3) 5.1, this seems to have stopped the cutting out of sound but now the audio and the video are totally off whack and the sound is way aheado f the video.

is this a downloaded file from the internet or a ripped DVD? if it's a downloaded file then it could be corrupt. If it's a DVD does the original DVD play that way? What exactly did you do to burn this DVD? and what version of Nero do you have?
