Hi, Does anyone know how to solve the audio being out of sync with the video? What I do is with the .avi file I extract the .wav from it using virtual dub. I then use TMPGenc set it on NTSC VCD, open up the avi file and I replace the sound part with the wav file then combine it to to make an mpeg1. Problem is on some of these the audio is out of sync with the video. Any ideas or anyone know where I can solve this problem? Thanks spartacus
Search on "PAL TO NTSC" in all the forums and you'll find long threads with various ways to fix it.. some using TMPGEnc.
Check out this guide http://www.johnisme.com/avi1.shtml That's the method I like to use but I'm sure you can find lengthy threads of the forums here for other methods. Try searching on "audio out of sync" and "PAL TO NTSC" Or if the guide I like is good enough, you're home free.
I actually got it work. After I extracted the wav from using virtual dub I opened up Goldwave and clicked on Time Warp and clicked length and when it finished I replaced the original wav file and it work perfectly. Now if only it would work for movies. This has only worked for episodes. Thanks again. Sparatcus
You're welcome. Yeah, the Goldwave "stretch the audio" is a method preferred by Minion. I haven't tried it as yet. So far the DGPulldown trick is working for me and I have the sequence memorized. But whatever works is good.
