Not quite sure why its happening, but there is no sound coming from my webbrowser at all
MSN messenger and other applications also aren't working for sound either, but my windows media player, winamp and realplayer all work fine.
    Any Ideas?

Have you done any window updates recently?? If you have updated your sound driver recently this may be the cause, You may need to roll back the driver.

Let me know if u have done that first and then ill take you through rolling your driver back.

Are you sure everything is plugged in propperly?? Have you thought about reinstalling the drivers over the top anyway??

The other thing I just realised have you gone to your window schemes and seen if sounds have been alocated to certain things it may have gone to the "No Sound Scheme"

soo have a look at your sound schemes and keep me posted.
