Im not new at this....so its ultimately frustrating me to death. I have The Island and Duece Bigalow. I have no problem with Duece on my PC but the other I couldnt hear. Then I asked someone and they said it was a codec for 5.1 stereo sound. So I downloaded it and I could hear it on my PC. However, I want to watch this on my 57'TV. So I do the mainconcept thing and then TMPGenc thing and Nero and go to watch them and NO SOUND! What is going on. This has never ever happened to me before and Im at a point where Im losing it. Can someone assist....thanks!
I've a similar problem. I recently bought a new PC with a DVD burner bundled with MyDVD Plus ver. 7. I use MyDVD to create a .vob file on my hard drive, change .vob to .mpg, and burn as a data file to a DVD disc. From the disc I can load the file to WinDVD, and it will play nicely. But when I play it on my standalone player (Apex AD-1200), no sound comes out. I've tried various burn speeds and -R and -RW media, and still get mute. I've also used DVD Decriptor to rip a .vob file from a commercial DVD movie. The same thing happened, as described above. Any remedy?
@MsLoveLee, convert the video to m2v use the video that you already converted. Demux the AC3 using AVIMuxGUI and then simply reuse. @flin, try authoring as DVD video instead of just burning as data. What are the specs of the audio though? AC3? mp2?
I've got it. By restoring the .vob extension, the sound is played. If you encounter a similar situation, you might want to try various filename extensions--such as .mpg, .vob, or others--to see whether one of them will work.
im not wanting to go thru all that. I just got the file again and this time when I unpacked it ..it was a IMG file. Now I tryed to use dvddecrypter to burn it to a dvd and it will work on my x-box but not on my dad's dvd player...any idea why? thanks again guys
