Hi basically im having trouble burning DVD-Videos using Nero Vision, When i burn them to a disc i put them into my DVD player and the pictures fine, but the audio sounds like that loading noise you used to get on the Commodore 64, it used to work fine up until a few weeks ago now every burn is a coaster, im using 8x official Taiyo Yuden and burning at 4x so that isn't the problem, i tried uninstalling all my nero programs and installing a newer version but that hasn't solved the problem either. \EDIT/ If it helps to diagnose the problem i started getting the Nero has encountered a serious problem and needs to close error when i tried adding .avi files to the compilation for awhile it still does it quite frequently too. \EDIT/ Many thanks for any valuable input/help given : )
I think it would be a good idea to uninstall Nero, run the Nero Clean Tool, The Nero Driver Clean Tool and Registry Checker, and then reinstall Nero. I don't know what version, 6 or 7 you're using, so I'll post a link to all the Nero 6 and Nero 7 tools: http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/Clean_Tools.html You may also need to reinstall codecs. K-Lite codec pack is a pretty good one to use for both audio and video: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
thanks i was in the process of uninstalling nero and installing an older version again to see if that solves the issue didn't last time but it could just of been an issue with that version being corrupt im going for v7.5.9.0a as thats meant to be a pretty good choice, i already have k-lite installed, ill post back with the results. Also iv heard that the INCD tool can cause problems is this true? If it is i wont bother installing it. Update Iv reinstalled an older version and still the same i either get that irritating high pitched commodore noise or it says its encountered a serious problem and needs to close ><
Yes, InCD can be a troublemaker and I wouldn't install it unless you actually use it. Did you run the clean tools including the driver clean tool and registry checker before reinstalling?
There's probably something corrupted. Try going back to an earlier restore point and reinstall Nero. or Backup the data, reformat the HDD, and reinstall Nero and your other apps.
i think im just going to stick with virtual dub, avi2dvd and dvd decrypter for abit, sounds like too much work reformatting my hard drive lol.
