    Hi,

I am trying to join two XviD files containing ac3 sound using VirtualDub(Mod) but am having problems.
The video all works fine but at the point where the second part gets joined the sound goes really quiet although you can still hear it slightly.

This is strange though because if a scan to a random point in the first part the sound is fine, if i scan to a random point in the second part the sound is fine, it is just if i let media player run from the end of the first part and into the beginning of the second part that the audio goes quiet.

Any one have any advice they can offer and a solution?
Is there a tool which i can use to combine two ac3 files, i've been looking but can't fine any.

An alternative which i might try is rip the audio from both parts seperately into .wav files and the combine these but i'd rather keep them in ac3 format (and it would require more work to do it this way).

    Thanks for any help offered!

OK i've just tried ripping the audio from both parts into .wav format then used "mp3 cutter and joiner" to join the two wav files.
When i play the wav file in media player it does exactly the same as before.

Its really puzzling me, can anyone offer any advice?
