i got the ring, its the 1st and will probably be the last xvid movie i get, 1st there was no sound at all, then after try a bunch of different codecs i had my screen go compeletly green, then completely black, now that it seems to work, the sound it very quiet, all my other files, like divx movies, have great sound, this one is maybe twice as low. you can here it at MAX, but not very good, most movies i have, have great sound at half the volume, whats the problem? is it fixable?

Do you have codec packs installed?? if so, then just get rid of them!! Stick to one xvid codec, the one on this site is excellent and get some ac3 filters and codecs!! The Ring has ac3 audio I believe!!

You have to change your preferences in the control panel of your AC3 codec to output the sound to 2 speakers or stereo. Whats happening is your codec thinks you are listening in dolby so all you are hearing is the output of the front two speakers. Hope that helps!
