A little help please. Well...I reformatted my computer cuz my computer was going pretty slow. After i reformatted it, I dont have anymore sound even though my speakers are hooked up to it. I remember having to activate the sound card when I reformatted it before. Can someone help mme out? Thanks.

    1. Check connection of speakers ( and whether your PC is on ;) )

    2. Make sure that all drivers needed are installed (you can make this by right-clicking on "My computer"->"Properties"->"Hardware"->"Device manager". Then a list of devices will appear. There find your sound-card & chek whether it works(by watching its properties). If it has yellow question infront and statement: Multimedia Controller, that means that you hadn't installed the driver. let windows find the driver in the internet.

3.But if you can not find sound card that means trouble with device. try reboot. if doesn't help ask computer service for help.

yeh i'd go with ddps advice.

you shouldn't have to activate it

if you have a custom board then you will need the driver check your disk or the website.

if you have a pre built computer

then you will have the original disk it wil be on there.

once you have your drivers installed it will work fine
