I require sound on my computer to play music that i have downloaded through peers. anyways the music plays when i put it on my phone but will not play in Quicktime, itunes, Windows Media player or nero player and i have download another program to check if it was these programs doing it. but its not so why are they not playing? not matter what type of song it is whether its of a disc, Limewire, or if it has been converted it works on my phone fine but just not on my computer so i do not know if the song is any good when i put it on my Ipod, MP3 player, DVD disc, CD or Phone!

Does the song play without errors? Does your PC make sound properly in other programs?

    Any sound at all ever?

If not then check your volume sliders and see if the WAVE slider is up and not muted.

I am honestly not a computer genius but i do know the basics! so my questions is what and where is the wave slider? yes it does play songs without errors and no my sound does not even work with other programs. and yes it is connected! the only thing i have found it works on is my phone. I hope someone can help!

You should look in the little toolbar in the bottom right of your computer. you should see a speaker icon, right click on it and click open volume control. This is if you are using Windows.

In case you don't see that icon, go start->Programs->Accessories and if you don't see 'volume control' there, go into entertainment.
