Problem Soundbar to xbox one

Hello folks. Having an issue with my soundbar connected to my Xbox one.
Setup is : Original Xbox one, with kinect
Sharp soundbar with Bluetooth connected via optic to console
Optima 1080p Projector to console via HDMI
BT box connected to console

The small remote that came with the soundbar is partially broken. The volume up does not work but the rest of the remote functions works fine (replaced batteries as well). Instead of trying to source another small remote, and or a universal, is there any other way to gain full functionality without having to manually adjust the volume settings ? Any app out there or settings via the console I can use. My mobile unfortunately does not have IR built in, and the console is a non Bluetooth edition. Plugging the soundbar into the projector is a no-go as the cable is only 3 ft long and have always enjoyed listening to the sound from the front of the room. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
