hi all has anyone got one of these h/d's in there xbox SP1604N and if so could u please tell me the jumper settings that it is on,as i have tried all jumper settings and it only sees it at about 30 ish gig, i have tried all the jumper settins on the hard drive but still no joy.... i have the xenium chip installed generation 1 and when i go to evo dash and then dash config it says bios unknown version,i have tried to update this with the evox bios's and it wont do it. what bios would i want to put on? and would the bios cause this problem?? can u please help me
I have this Drive! And, ummm... I'l take a stab at it ok. Try setting it to either Master or Cable Select. If you set it to Master make sure to change the Jumper on the DVD-ROM Drive (I can't recall does the DVD-ROM Drive even have a M:S:CS Setting??) In anycase if you don't know use the Cable Select (CS) Setting. You'll need a Modchip in order to boot a CD\DVD Bootdisc (i.e. Slayers 2.x FINAL or Auto Installer Pro. So you can Format your Drive and use it. Otherwise you get some Error, Like 05, 06, 07, 13, 16 or 21...
hi Ichijoe i can get this drive to work with no errors but when i boot in the evo dash and goto settings and then dash config and look at storage its c,e,f,g,x,y,z it only adds up to 32 gig. and also if i load hd loader and sawp partitions its only E.4 gig and F.24 gig and x,y,z have around 750 meg each. so the total of the hard drive is only 32 gig.. but if i put it in the computer and prepare it for a pc with fdisk it only see's it at 32 gig!!but if i use samsung's disk manager, and use it for extra storage its 159 gig... so if ur xbox can see all 160 gig could u please tell me what xbox model, chip and bios u r using...... many thanks for reply steven
You're going to need to either edit your Firmware Image, (Xecuter or EvoX), for LBA48 Support for HDD's <137Gib (i.e C\ & E:\ Take 8Gib, and F:\ takes up to 137Gib and G:\ will take the rest. Or replace it with a Firmware Image that already has Support for LBA48. If you use a Xecurter Firmware. You can try to use XBTool to patch your Firmware. If you#d rather use EvoX I think EVTool can do the same thing. Once you have your Firmware Image corrected. You're going to have to reformat the Drive again to get it to recognize your new G:\ Partition with 23Gib's Free...
