What mode are you using with Decrypter [bold]File[/bold] or [bold]ISO[/bold]?

Can you wattch the movie from your hard drive?

You might want to give DVD Shrink a try.

I copied Spanglish with AnyDVD ver. 4.6.3.1 and DVDShrink with no problems at all. Read as using Sony ArCoSS, Puppetlock and 5 bad sectors if I remember right.

Do not know what the to do was about. Just backed up Spanglish, movie only, using AnyDVD and DVD Shrink. Shrink went through disk like s%#t through a goose, was done shrinking/burning in 23 minutes.

you guys and girls who are burning spanglish are you just burning the Main movie or the whole disk???? I almost always use DVD decrypter and DVD2ONE to shrink it and CLONEDVD2 to burn also have ANYDVD running in the background. WEll it ripped with decrypter just fine but when i went to clonedvd to shirnk it a file came up saying i needed to rip the whole movie to shrink it. I dont want just the main movie i want to copy the whole disk. How can i do this??? Im still trying to get ahold of a newer version of ANYDVD to see if that helps. Any info you guys have on how to copy the whole DVD would be alot of help

It appears to me that the majority of people having success burning this movie are using AnyDVD. Others claim to use the newest decrypter and then use shrink. However, shrink in and of itself should have no problem ripping and encoding the movie but it does. I have yet to read a post of a successful shrink rip/encode of this film.

With this many unsuccessful posts I doubt it is a bad disc or conflicting software when so many of us have done hundreds of movies on the same systems.

Still looking for some answers on this one, perhaps not having the absolutely most up to date software was and is the issue.

Had trouble ripping Spanglish with DVD Decrypter, multiple read errors, then realized I was using 3.5.2, so I updated and was then able to rip it no problems. Thanks to all who posted the suggestion to update. What a great forum.

So to those who havent been reading all 3 pages of this thread so far, here is the summary:

DVD Decrypter will ONLY work on this movie if you have the most recent version 3.5.4, no other version will work.

DVD SHRINK has been unable to back up this movie as a stand alone program but, will work when combined with a stand alone ripper like decrypter.

AnyDVD seems to be working best but, indicates that Spanglish is using both Sony ArCoSS, Puppetlock and 5 bad sectors.

If I am mistaken, and I very well could be, has there ever been a DVD that we are aware of that has used both ArCoss and Puppetlock on a single disc?

No problem! The Decrypter Forums are a great place to check if you are having problems with a new movie. You might even run into LIGHTNING UK!

With this movie you need the newest version of anydvd that is on the slysoft site. Any other version will not work.
