lol how about we add a graphic section were members could request special sigs and stuff. I think it would be cool. And I would be more then happy to do the grpahics for people. Might be a bad idea but what do you think?

Yes I would do it for free. And there are free hosts such as photobucket and imageshack

This is something I made a few weeks ago [IMG]

And I made it my sig as well. What do you think?

Yea sounds good, but dRD was thinking of removing the whole image thing.

If you do make some, don't make them big ... even the one you've posted is a bit large. Someone on dial up will have a hell of a time loading the page.

That would have to be up to dRD :) ... maybe we could make a sticky. This way dRD could also give you the max limitions for the image.

Hm, I think it is wise to keep such requests in safety valve or maybe some upcoming "everything else" forum rom rather than dedicating a new room for this.

Anyway, as far as the sigs go, I haven't made a decision yet, but most likly will keep them anyway and rather implement a on/off switch to turn off all the images from the forums if user wishes to do so.

Additionally, we've been playing with the idea of "contributing member to soc..erm..AfterDawn" type of system where users could sing up for a small-scale paid service for e6 a month or so and get a little "sun" or star or whatever underneath their nick on forums and get possibly an access to PDF versions of guides and also to allow users to upload their own sig images to our image servers rather than playing with GeoCities, etc that don't work (as they have referral checks, thats normally why people see broken images on forums). So, basically a way to donate to aD's cause, but also to get something small back. Just don't know how painful that would be in terms of acounting, CC processing fees and of course the usual 1% of users complaining about the service..
