Okay, I'm not great with computers, but I bought a 123 Copy DVD Gold program to back-up my dvds with. I got a few done perfectly fine, but then I tried to do my first season of Rescue Me, and it's not working. The first disc is done, but when I tried to do the second disc, it wouldn't work. It got 3% done, and then said it was done. Same with the third disc. I tried to burn it to see what it would do, and on the burnt disc, it only shows the opening before the menu. Does anyone know if I can fix this, or did I get screwed buying this...?

    Hi,

the 3 best dvd back up methods are

    1) dvdfab gold/platinum (pay for)
    2) anydvd/ clone dvd (pay for)
    3) the free method (look for 1boneheads or rtm's posts)

I would abandon 123 for DvdFab HD Decrypter.

    DVDFab HD Decrypter 5.2.3.2 (January 22, 2009)

123 Hasn't been updated since 2004. (No wonder it Failed)

Some other Programs to Use with DFab

    DVD Shrink
    Imgburn

Fantastic advice has been given thus far. I would also abandon 123CopytoDvd for a more stable and updated ripper like DvdFab.

I would also suggest using either FixVts or VobBlanker after ripping and before transcoding/encoding to clean the files up a bit.
