okay so I had an xenium spice, 5 dashboards, a 160 GB hdd. I somehow fried the Xemium(actually I know how..lol) and I opted to dish out a whole 30 bucks for the Spider. After many damn attempts and hours I was finally able to get the chip up and running. However I can only run my DVD drive. I can play back-ups and originals, but I cannot get into my harddrive nor any dashboard. I used the x2 4981 and configured using x tools to directly point to my e:\dashboards\unleashx\default.xbe. But i really don't remember if that is the correct path. can someone help!!!

put in AID 3.0 disc and ftp to the xbox to check whats up, the dashboard usually has to be directly in C or E to boot on start up...

actually thanx. I burned boxplorer to disc and found out exactly what path to use. I tell you though the spider GX is not user friendly.

Definatly, the spider chip is one of the worst chips on the market. Now dont get me wrong, it works great once its running, but getting it there is one of the hardest mod processes out there.
