Hello! I just acquired the three CD .rar file, with .01 files and all that, then I extract the .01 files for each CD to acquire the Bin and CUE files. The CUE file never worked so I DLed a diferent version with only CD2, the problem persisted with only CD2. So I converted the .BIN file to a .ISO file and burned a CD. What happens though is when I try to install Splinter Cell It stops at this one file called STREAM.SSO or something like that, I'm trying to access the CD right now but the browser for "run" totally just stalled out, I hope this message makes it. The CD is really really iffy. Not only does it stall out whenever possible, but it does'nt install, some of it installs fine and in the browser function it shows it as SC2 and not the traditionally Splinter Cell CD 2 name and icon. I DLed from 2 seperate places, and both had the same problem, I think its safe to assume that once I get the BIN file to work and burn another CD it will happen again. I read another about another file with this whole mount dismount thingy. I don't know much about warez and stuff, but my other SC CD's are uh... MIA and I'm really just replacing them, so please do help! Or at least point me to another CD2 bin and CUE file you know that works. I also have IRC so if anyone has one that you KNOW works you can send it to me. I just don't want to waste another CD, I'm running low now! Thankyou!!!

Why did you do this? In either case, try passing the image file through a proggie called CDMage and check for any errors.

Could it be a memory problem?

    Good.

Er, then what do I do? I transfered it to an ISO because when I tried to open it with NERO it tried to open the Bin file off of the D: drive instead of the C: drive, where I opened it off of. What I did was I transfered the .bin file, with the non-functioning .cue file, into a .iso file. I burned that and part of the CD is messed up, that one file, the STREAM.SSO. Is it because I transfered the .bin file to a .iso file? Or could it be something else? Because the real problem isn't that it shows up as a Dif CD than the Splinter Cell CD2, the problem is that that STREAM.SSO file disrupts the installation process and then gives me the option of destroying the folder from where the installtion is being derived then it closes the installation and asks for CD1, then nothing happens. I tried to DLing CD2 from 2 dif places in 2 dif styles but it never worked. Whats going wrong?

1.How did you "transfer" the formats? try converting the BIN to an ISO using WinISO.
    2. "where I opened it it off with..." Opened what?
    3. You dont actually need the CUE file -- no, wait... are u trying to "open" the CUE file or the BIN file? If its the former, open up the CUE file in notepad and see if it actually points to the location of the BIN file, if not, change it! I would imagine this is the most relevent point since Nero tries to open the file off D: -- the CUE file must be pointing to a nonexsistent file on D:
    4. Depending on how you "transferred" the image files, combining a BIN file and a nonfunctional CUE file may present probems hehe
    5. Have you just considered moving the bin file to D: for the duration of just burning the image? ;)

If CDMage found errors, try having CDMage correct them (make a backup just incase it toally f*kts up the image). ALso, burn it at a low speed, the lower the better

BTW, if you are low on cds, test burn them on rewritables

I used an application very similar to WINIso, and the cue file looks to be corrupt, and I've used several applications which are unable to open it. I used "burn image" off of the file menu in NERO. And my D drive is a CD drive, and I dont' have any CD-RW's. Also, I did not combine the BIN file with anything. I just converted the BIN file to an ISO file using something similar to WINISO . the CD does not have the name and similar information but that isn't the real problem! The problem is that that one file will not install, the burned CD from the ISO I made has a problem installing that File. I do not see how simple name problems could resort in such a problem with a specific file after the other files work correctly. If I am convinced that this will fix the problem with that file, I will burn another CD using said operation, but I do not have any CD-RW's on hand and limited CD-R's. I am sorry if I am being dificult, maybe tomorrow it will make more sense. I still invite as much help as I can get.

Well, thats another wasted CD. I burned slower, I edited the original CUE file so it points to the right BIN file now. It burned at 2x and now whenever I insert it during installation what it does is tell me it can't find the file its looking for, the file that it needed to switch to CD2 on, while I am staring right at the fusking FILE. I scanned it all, I did exactly what you wanted me to, WTF is up with this? Can anyone help me?

Maybe its my bin file and not my cue file. Is their anyway anybody who has SplinterCell can copy thier second CD for me into a ISO file or some type of file and then send it to me? PLEASE! I really just want my second CD. I'm sorry for being so dificult but obviously the files I have are screwed up or I'm screwing up, I need new files in some form I can't screw up and come un-corrupt and un-screwed up. Thanks to everyone! I may seem a little mad, but thats because I've been doing this for like 2 days! Please help!

    1. Is it possible that the cd images you acquired are already f*kt up and that you had nothing to do with it?

    2. What did CDMage say about errors?

I'm not familiar with Blindwrite (at all, shame on me hehe) but there may be a place where you have to specify the cd mode and block size.... CDMage can tell you the required settings, usually they are MODE1/2352 or something like that. Are you burning with those settings?

I scanned the cue file and the bin file. I then opened the cue file, looked at the settings and opened the CD1 cue file. They were exactly alike except one pointed towards the other bin file for CD1(the CD1 cue file). CDMage came up with no errors. And Nero does not specify block capacity or anything like that. I did DL two diferent versions in diferent compressions from 2 very diferent people. They both had the same problem. Does anyone know where I can get CD2?

Before you go off and hassle yourself by downloading another cd image... try using a different burning program.... I personally had any luck burning CD images using nero

    May i reccommend
    -CDRWIN 3.9D
    (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/cdrwin.cfm)
    -Padus Disjuggler
    (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/padus_disc_juggler.cfm)
There are others but those three i have used extensively and know well. Some of those others include
    - Fireburner
    (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/fireburner.cfm)
    - Blindwrite
    (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/blindwrite_suite.cfm)
    - Alcohol120
    (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/alcohol120.cfm)
    - BurnAtOnce
    (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/burnatonce.cfm)

As to your question of where you can get more? 'fraid i cant answer that.
