I have deleted files to make it fit onto a 4.7 gb dvd but I need to delete another 60 MB. Here is my problem: If I delete the file "dashupdate.xbe" what am I losing or really deleting?
Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory Deletables Space Saved: 2.44gb \dashupdate.xbe \update.xbe \Default\screens\deu \Default\screens\esp \Default\screens\fra \Default\screens\ita \Default\sounds\deu \Default\sounds\esp \Default\sounds\fra \Default\sounds\ita \VideosPal Here is another 27mb: \Default\Videos\movieteaser_deu.bik \Default\Videos\movieteaser_esp.bik \Default\Videos\movieteaser_fra.bik \Default\Videos\movieteaser_ita.bik sftx
thx for telling me that but I still want to know what is -dashupdate.xbe and I deleted the teaser and the training videos, would you recomend that I delete something else instead?
Honestly don't know, but saw that post on another forum. I deleted everything in there except the movieteaser files, and it works just find. I think that is something that is needed for the Microsoft Dashboard, and since we aren't using it, not needed. sftx
thx but heres another question, what is the diff between videospal folder and videos? If I delete the folder called videospal, am I deleting any videos that occur throughout the game? If that is the case, I do not want to delete those files... (I don't mind deleting the training videos though)
I believe that PAL is the European version. The videos folder contains NTSC, the U.S. version. DVD movies are done in the same way ... you can't bring a European movie on DVD over here and play it on a region1 player, but you can have the NTSC version and play it here. Best, sftx
does that mean that if I delete the videospal folder it would be as I had not deleted anything at all if I play the game on a ntsc xbox with a chip?
