I've been told that I should fit a splitter box so as my virgin box will run alongside my starview 4 box, with both powered up, although only one would be used. I have been told that sometimes virgin send a signal down the line & a reply would be sent back from the virgin box, so I am just wondering if the splitter was fitted would it allow the virgin box to send the signal back. If I were just to plug in the starview, would this then NOT send a signal back, then making them aware I was using a dodgy box. If I don't need to have the virgin box plugged in, could I put the virgin box in another room use a splitter to send the signal to that room or would the signal be too weak to run 2 boxes.
    Thanks for any help

you will have no problem with 2 boxes...keep the v box in one rm,the other in another..use a splitter,no loss of signal will occur..the v box will communicate with the source but the other box will not be affected..hope that helps...
