So. I read through the different threads and actually found a thread, that related nicely to my problem. However, it seems that this thread has been terminated. So i'll give it another shot.

Problem: I have an imagefile that i would like to burn to a cd. This imagefile is too big for a cd, and i don't have a dvd-burner. I'll need to divide the file into three, and here is the problem. Can this be done? And how (program)?

Please answer this, as i have now been sitting around waiting for someone to answer this other guy's question, which never happaned. (I'm danish, so sorry for any grammatical errors)

winRAR should solve your problems. you can use it to split up your image file into whatever size you want so it can fit on CD-Rs.

I appreciate your reply! However, I don't really know how to do this in WINrar. I tried looking around in the program for some function called "split", or "divide", but never found any match. What should I do?

in my computer, or windows explorer, find the file, right click on it, and there should be an "add to archive" option. Click that, and it opens up winRAR. now a dialog box pops up, and in the bottom of the "general" tab there is a "split to index" pull down menu where you can then select 700MB for CDR. now winRAR should archive the file to a .rar and split it into file sizes that can fit on a CD.

Right click the image file and select "add to archive"(WinRAR). Set compression method to best and volume, splitting to 100,000,000. This will take a very long time. You have the option to use QuickPar and archive the WinRAR files with this program. Burn the WinRAR files slow!8x or 4x

Thanks guys! It took me a while to fully understand the methods. However, now i've finished my project, and i'm a wiser man. I used djscoop's method, and burned it slowly. and it worked. Just wanted to conclude!
