hello, i'm completely new to this forum and i was hoping someone could help me out here. i have DVD files for a football video file and it comes out to approximately 7.68GB in length. i read the tutorial on this site on how to burn discs using nero, however, i couldn't find the part where it mentions splitting files between two discs. how could this be done? thank you
Yes, dvd shrink in reauthor mode. In reauthor mode using the 2 bracket line tools, adjust the file size to 4300 Mb for 1st disc, create file and make 2nd file the remainder. Then burn the 2 files on separate dvd-5 discs. Done.
iluvendo, i finally finished downloading all the files (i had a few missing) and i opened up dvd shrink and selected reauthor mode like you had mentioned. could you please go over the next few steps one-by-one?
When in Reauthor mode, you drag the Title from the right-side box into the left-side one. There's a little button just above the left-side box that has two blue arrows (facing left and right) on it. Click that. A new dialog will open with two video preview panes and sliders for each. The top one is used to set where you want your video to begin and the bottom one sets the end point. For the first part, slide the bottom slider to the left until you find a good spot to split your video - where a commercial break is/was would be a good spot. Take note of it's location because, when you go to do the second part, you will want to slide the top slider to this point. Click OK then click Backup (at the top) to begin the process. Hope that helps.
