Hello, i hope this is the right forum for this question. anyways i have a ISO file which is 8 gigs and i want to burn in on to a DVD however it will not fit obviously. I need to split it in half and make 2 DVD'd. Can someone recommend a simple program that will do the job? thanks
Use Dvd Rebuilder to re-encode the files to fit on a single layer DVD with little loss in quality. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd-rebuilder.cfm And a guide to get you started. http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/5293.cfm
You can Re-author the file using DVDShrink. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm Run DVD Shrink, click 'File' > 'Open Disc Image'. Click 'Re-author' and drag 'Title 1' from the right panel to the left panel. Right click on 'Title 1' and choose the start and end points. If the image has chapters choose by chapter and/or note the duration and file size in the lower left. Click 'OK' then on the top menu 'Backup'. After the clip has been saved, right click on 'Title 1' and 'Cut' the file. Drag 'Title 1' from right to left and reauthor, selecting the second half of the movie.
