Splitting an mkv file

    What is the simplest way to split an mkv file prior to burning on to two dvd's uding IMG Burn?

    Thanks Attar for your post.

    Have you used this software?

    It obviously does the job but I am having difficulty setting the separate filenames.

    I am a noob at this and starting to wonder whether it's worth all the hassle!

    In my case I am producing Parts 1 and 2 of Battle Los Angeles.

    Every attempt I have made so far to create separate filenames has failed.

    The guide doesn't really help me.

    Can you help?

    I have now tried mkvmergegui and it has separated the files.
    I have then gone on to use tsmuxer and mkv2vob but neither program likes the separated files.
    A 10 mile trip to buy dual layer discs seems an attractive proposition at present but I don't want to give up.
    Can anyone help?
