    Hi
I've used video capture to record a vhs tape of 3 episodes from a series into one big mpeg file.

What I want to do now, is split the file to make 3 separate episodes, so I can then add a menu and create a dvd where I can choose which episode I want to watch.

I've used TMPGenc, but it would mean having 3 copies of the original file (at 7gb each) and then cutting the excess out - seems a bit long winded, so does anyone know an easier way?

    Thanks

    Ann.

    Hello Ann, welcome to AD.

NeroVision Express(NVE) will do what you want. You can also create chapters and a menu that will enable you to go to each video. You can then burn from NVE.

Just make sure your files are less than 4.3, NVE can't compress or re-author.

It comes in the Nero Ultra 6 package. You must download it every month for the trial version, it will last til the end of each month.

Eagletronics has the entire package for 49.00, it normally costs 99.00. Well worth it, it is the best video/audio package on the net today(my opinion).

    Good luck!
