Will DVD shrink or Decrypter split a dvd-9 movie to 2 disks without compression? If they will, how? If not is there another way to do it?

    Thanks

Yes, DVD Shrink will. You can't keep the menus because it must be done in Re-author mode. Start Shrink and let it quick analyze your DVD, select Re-author, Drag the Main Movie over to the left window. Click on Compression settings and set to No Compression. Now click on the icon above the word size - looks like arrows pointing Left and Right. Take note of the Beginning and Ending frame numbers. Decide where you want to divide your movie and set the End Frame at that point (half way through) We'll use a movie with 32 chapters for example. Set the end frame to 16. Click ok. Check to see if your selected Frames/Chapters size is still within the limits of the green status bar. Backup that.

Repeat the proceedure above but this time use 16 as a Start Frame number and the last frame, 32, as an end frame. Backup that.

You now have the files to put a DVD9 on 2 discs. Burn 'em if you haven't already.

WHAT? You want an "Please Insert Disc 2..." screen at the end of Disc 1? Simple enough, go here: http://www.asdfz.com/guide/1and2/newbie.htm
