splitting avi file

    When I capture VHS recorded video, I end up with a huge avi file. Quite often, the file contains totally unrelated scenes.

    How can I split the huge file into individual avi files for specific scenes?

    Here are a ton of free tutorials on how to do that...

    Most of the guides use free software (I recommend using VirtualDub.)

    BTW, what software are you using to capture with? There may be a setting you can change to adjust the size of the .avi.
