hello there. So i have been using autogtk to rip my vob files into avi's since thats the only program i have found that will allow you to rip the vob's with multiple audio tracks. Anyways the problem is that autogtk is ripping the entire dvd to one avi file so i need something to separate the 4 or so episodes that are contained in the file ( ideally retaining quality and audio tracks) anyone have any advice as to what program to use? thanks
Using DVD Shrink. This DVD shows the episodes divided into 'Titles'. After loading the files from the DVD (or a previously ripped folder), click 'Reauthor', and drag all the titles from right to left. Click 'Backup' and save them to a new folder. Each of the titles will be saved as 'VTS_01_1.VOB', 'VTS_02_1.VOB', etc. 'VTS_01' being one title, 'VTS_02' as the next, etc. Run AGK and select the first title - 'VTS_01_1.VOB' then 'Add Job'. Select the second title and 'Add Job'. Repeat as required, set the file size then 'Start' The AVI files are saved as separate AVI files. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm
I should have mentioned that you can also select 'VTS_01_0.IFO' , 'VTS_02_0.IFO' etc, which correspond to the information file for the separate titles (this would be required if the titles had more than one VOB file).
