I have split several avi files with virtual dub using the guide on the site and for some reason the second part of the split never has sound. The first part always has sound and sounds good. What can I be doing wrong? DId I forget something or do I need to do something else?

What options are selected under the audio menu when you do the second part of the movie? Are you certain you are splitting it at a keyframe?

Under audio Avi audio and direct stream copy is selected. Im not sure what a keyframe is but it is spliiting it at the middle of the movie. I used easy video splitter and got it to work. Thanks for the help.

Glad it worked. Fyi, you would have been on keyframes if you held down the shift key while moving the slider in Vdub. You will also see in the status bar a [K] next to the frame number. Splitting at keyframes is necessary to maintain audio synch.

Yeah I held down the shift key while I went through the frames. The first part of the movie was fine and in sync just the second part had no sound at all. Thanks
