just out of interest why do you want to split it into two files matey? i mean you can burn that straight to a dvd and it will take just as much room up on your hd even if you split it. i cant think of any other reaonss why u might want to split it lol

but i'll have a search around for you, let me know what the situation is =] ill try and help you out

there is a simple tools called virtualDub that will allow you to split avi files. But it depends on your computer codecs. It wont open all avi files as some may use a decompressor you may not have. But try virtualdub and its also freeware.

its because i want to convert it to dvd and whenever i do it the audio is off, so earlier i converted some simpsons episodes and the audio is perfect. so im guessing that converting A small parts of the movie will make the audio sync better

i wouldnt have thought so. Have you tried playing the file before you conver it? is it still out of sync then?

so does it play ok on your computer audio sync wise? or is it out of sync?

Also what type of blank media are you using? that can sometimes cause audio sync problems.
