Hey guys, I am trying to split large image/iso files into smaller volumes so i can put them onto a removable storage device. At the minute i am trying to do it using Winrar but i am getting problems. When i add the the image to an archive, i put in what split size i want the volumes to be. The process starts but it dissapers with about 10 seconds left and the file ends up corrupt. Can anyone help me do it properly? Thanks.
I've used this app occasionally to split an .iso and it seems to work ok - but I don't know if I would toss out my original DVD's. It also seems to rejoin the files without issues. You can elect various predefined sizes (I elected to use a custom setting of 3000 MB) While the separate files will play using the likes of VLC, the movie will crash if a menu chapter is on the second file. http://www.downloadery.com/software/splitting-161.htm
