I am a longtime Maestro user and recently we upgraded one of our machines to an AMD 64x2. The netstream 2000 card installed fine and maestro installed fine and runs. When I try to preview video from the timeline everything closes down abrubtly. No Warning, nothing, just dissapears. The netsream card seems to work fine with other applications, just not maestro. I set the affinity to one processor with no luck. I found a thread that mentioned taking some of the cinemaster 2000 dlls and placing them in the maestro folder. Now when I play from the timeline i get an error message instead of the program crashing. The error message says device can't be found followed by some hex. Has anyone out there figured out how to run maestro and preview video/audio on an AMD 64x2, if so pleaase, pretty please, help me, and the many others like me that are up the creek without a paddle.
The dll's that you speak of are cinmhook, cinmst32, and dvdpld32 . They should be placed in the windows/system32 folder [bold]NOT[/bold] in the Maestro folder. I don't know about the AMD 64x2, but this is what works on Intel P4. Try it and post your results.
