Delete this from IE favorites -> shopping Empty your Temp folder -> C:\WINDOWS\Temp Otherwise looking good. Still having problems?
everything seems to be ok.....but my desktop wallpaper remains to be just a plain white background, even if I try to change it, it still remains plain white. My computer also seems to be running slower than usual
Ok, that smitfraud may have caused that Do this: Please download the Registry Search tool by clicking on the "hard drive" icon halfway down this page: http://www.billsway.com/vbspage/ Save it to the desktop and run it. If you get an alert from your antivirus about scripting, choose to allow the script to run. Search for warnhp.html and click OK. Post the logfile from the tool here for me.
Let's try this then: Download deskfix -> http://www.ejvindh.frac.dk/Deskfix_rc2.vbs Doubleclick Deskfix_rc2.vbs, enter DESKTOP,click ok, If antivirus warns about script, let it run. Reboot.
it says: can not find script file "C:\Documents and Settings\kci\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5|BESVVPWT|Deskfix_rc2[1].vbs
