I have two hp elite8000 cmt desktops. I am thinking of changing fro a 500gig sata drive to a 1 tb ssd drive. only one drive both now and later. is a ssd completly compatible with this desktop? does the ssd come with a built in clone app or do I need to use my existing todo back up software? for the clone. a fresh install is not wanted if I can get away with it. does ssd use the same drive connections, both the drive and MB? same ports used? should I keep the hdd for extra storage? if yes how would I use it? the OS would reside on the ssd and/or the hdd. I can wipe the hdd clean afterwards. suggestions please. names model capacity.
