hi all,could anyone tell me,after updating to the new st*rview 1 firmware does the boot version stay the same as before in the system settings or does it change ? soz if this is a dumb question...also how do you no if it has worked. thanks in advance.
if you have an orginal starview 1 recevier , you should be using this file - (crypstar v1.5), i have just checked on mine, yes it will still show the old firmware v.400 you should go too a $ channel & leave it to update, if you have done it right , you will be able too see the channel
boot version is probably still the same and even the date is 7 june 2007, but there not always changed with every fix just the fw and thats the important part, as far as known if it worked exit to the channel with the strongest signal and see if it updates.
cheers m8.went to s*y sp*rts 2 and left it but it hasnt done anythig m8,can see the channel ok,it was all working ok before i updated firmware cause i had the new k*ys.just wanted to update firmware so i didnt have to keep puttin in k*ys.is it supposed to update?
it is and it does just keep going through the channels and look at the little green bar, to see signal strenght if its strong leave it on that for a while and see if it starts kicking in. for different boxes i found different channels work. try s*y indie, s*y modern s*y 2, just keep trying.

hi anto tried what u said m8 but could only get it to update on the bics channels.updates ok goes back to channel then it updates again and again.is this normal or am i doing somethig wrong m8 ?
right try this menu factory setting (you will be asked for pass word) choose english 1570 set default key turn emu on exit back installation provider id automatic scan exit back and see if updates then.
