apologies for posting this on the previous page.
i've lost all channels on my st*rv*ew box. i fear the worst. i've tried updating codes/ firmware(API ver 4.00e boot ver 7.0 june 2007), factory defaults but can't seem to pick up any channels. i think the box is goosed.
i'm going to look into getting a eurovox. anyone got any info on these. many thanks.

thanks for the quick response cactikid. i've tried factory reset pwrd on/off with cox cbl into box from the wall and set provider to t*l*w*st but i don't pick up any channels. i don't get any signal with cox cbl straight into tv (i'm thinking that i wouldn't get a signal if it doesn't go through the box/providers equiptment?). i know the cox cbl is ok as when i connect it into the providers box i can get my subscribed channels.
any update would be most welcome.
    many thanks.

If its the st@rview 1, flash it with the crypstar 2.57 bin, then do a factory reset, autoscan, Turn key emu on & see if this helps.

You`ll find the 2.57 firmw@re here in the st@rview folder:

cheers for the info noelyf. i tried your suggestions but still no channels. as soon as i start the scan it jumps to 5% right away then finishes the scan but no channels found. the st*rv*ew box has 7x25 vents if this helps identifying the the box as genuine.

Scan on a different provider & see if you pick up any channels.
BTW, the 2.57 can be used on both genuine & clone boxes.

Could be a cc problem. Ring them up & tell them you are having a signal problem (hide the st@rview first lol). When they are finished connect the sv back up & autoscan again.

belper, just one other thing, have you turned your emu on??
    menu > 1570
Turn "key emu" on Exit back out & do an autoscan.

noelyf a slight advancement here. i have been repeatedly rescaning and it shows as having picked up 103 programes (no terrestrial one's though) but i'm unble to view them ('no signal' error msg) i had been having a wee look inside the box and also looked at the cable connection to the box. i'm now wondering if maybe the external connection on the box isn't making a good contact with the cable?
i'll try scanning on another provider to see if that mkes any difference and also check that connection again. i'll let you know if there is any change. thanks for your last post. EMU on and scanned, still the same.
