Stange sound issue with xvid

    When I create xvid movies all works perfectly, both video and sound. But when I create large movies (+ 2 gb) I do not hear any sound. When I convert from the same source just a small section, as a test, I do get both video and sound. Seems to size related. Has anyone run into similar problems or knows a fix for this?

    using:
    xvid 1.1.0-30122005
    lamemp3 v0.9.0-3.96 (stable)
    xmpeg 5.0

    You are using avi as a container? ODML is required for avi's 2+GB's, so I would say that your issue is related for that. I would suggest something other than xmpeg. Although it sounds like it is more of a playback issue.

    until now i've only used xmpeg and files larger that 2gb failed to play sound (any player, winamp / windows media / real player etc...). I did a little, actually a very time consuming test, by using virtualdub. I ended up with a 3gb avi and it plays perfectly in all players. I guess the problem must have been in xmpeg.
