Star Chip - Can it play dvd-r's?

    Hello everyone, I have a PS2 with a chip called Star Chip. I have had it for over 3 years or so. It plays cd-r backup with the gameshark. Since it is an old chip, I cannot find any information on whether it can play dvd-r's or now. I know my PS2 can play DVD-R movies, so the media will no be an issue. If anyone has this Star Chip, can you please tell me if you can play DVD-R PS2 backups on it.

    Interesting. Never heard of it before. You could always make a backup and try it out?
