I have had the Star View 3 for a couple of weeks. When I now try to use it only the following channels are available: 122, 126, 124, 746, 127 &745. On each of the working channels the signal is scrambled. I have rebooted the system and downloaded the drivers again. Can you please help.
Don't really understand your question, downloaded the drivers again, what drivers? so I will take a guess - as regards your scrambled channels check that your Key Emu is ON, Menu - type 1570 on remote to enter Cas System and turn it to ON <> with arrow keys. Also it would help if you posted your System Information, and you may need to Factory Reset the box and scan again on your provider to get your channels back, when/if you do this always then turn the Key Emu back on, it turns it's self off by default on a Factory Reset.
factory reset,0000 to delete and autoscan again,do not scan thru splitters u will get numbered channels,always scan from direct feed to get named channels,and when saved and finished do this- menu1570-key emu to on and exit out of menu.
hi.my problem is quite tought to fix, ive resorted in switching my box off and sending it back. 1 its not cloned. 2 i know how to set defaults and retune. 3 i know how to menu 1570 and set emu to on position. The problem is that its not finding any channels at all on auto search but the six numbered channels stated. also when i emu on to unlock and check these channels the unscramble signal is very bad quality and cannot view these either.i have no freeview bbc 1 2 itv,channel 4 sky sports,movies,nothing.the things doing my nut in.is there any help out there? it would be appreciated....alo can i get a refund on this box if it is faulty or is the firmware dowload voided my 12 month gaurentee....
Just put my original ntl box on.evry channel seems to be working fine so signal must be ok. good idea though i didnt think of that.ive got another box3 i bought for my parent who live in same town as me and theirs is working ok. maybee if i borrow there box and connect to my leads to see if it is a signal fault.do you think my guarantee is still validon my box if it is a problem with box?
Yeah give the other box a try or you could also try the CDF from your parents box if they are on the same provider and live fairly close to you, as for the guarantee if all fails and you need to send it back put the FTA firmware back on.
Did you flash the box when you first got it? if yes you load this firmware back on it, Download it here. If you didn't have to flash it then leave it as it is, but try what was suggested above first.
i also had a box no channels found turned out faulty firmware,reflashed with a fresh file ,picked up channels.
thanks for all ur help guys...i got my parents box3 and plugged it in.no probs at all,watched arsenal spurs last night...not a service providers fault.i suppose i will have to re install original firmware like you told me and look for my gaurentee..
Lewis will you try this: do a factory reset on your own, get your parents box (that works) and join the 2 boxes together via a null modem cable turn your box away, on your parents box press Menu then user set up, go down to SV/transfer and press this, when finnished save and exit...this should give you the same data onto your box as your parents.

GOOD MAN desb: it worked on the data and channel transfer but unfortunatly when i hook up the faulty box,it has now come up with all channels but has (NO SIGNAL) were scrambled or bad channel usualy apears. I have also cheked the signal using the button on remote.It also says 0% signal..???????? what do u think.
check that the cable is pushed fully in, and try swopping them around at the back of the box, its possible you have them in the wrong hole!!!
Hi guys. i have spent a good while going through posts trying to find out what im doing wrong but apologies i havnt found the answer so i need to ask. i got a super box API: 8.00e_E Boot Ver 8 yesterday and can only get setanta ireland and a few others. I have NTL (in dublin). i have factory reset, then turned it of for a few minutes. Turn it back on chose english, did an auto scan with ntl, saw a lot of failed channels it said it picked up 172. went to menu then put in 1570 to get to the CAS menu. turned on EMU & then reset default button and hit exit twice and it goes back to sky premier and updates yet stays at 0%. i didnt put any firmware update on it because i could get the CAS menu and because it said API 8.00e_E. any suggestions lads?
factory reset and reflash with v7.09 for irl,scan for channels,emu to on.turn to bbci to update.lazy update some channels it dont work.
