What firmware did you download to it? And do you have a Starview or a Starview 2 called "The Box" ?

I am gone for the evening and it looks like you have "The Box".

    Please follow these instructions:

    Update Guide

OK all the firmware/software you need to upgrade "The Box" is in the link at the end of my post, marked Eamos FTA Library.

    1. Download GTromloader, found in Starview Software Folder.(If you do not have it already).
    2. Download Version 4.50 firmware for Ireland or 4.51 for the UK,found in "The Box" Firmware folder.

That should solve your problem. If you need anymore assistance there are plenty of people here to help you out.

OK you got me a bit confused there, can you go to the link marked Starview Info Dobby2oon at the bottom of my post. Click on this, then click clones. Have a look at the pictures and tell me if you have a clone or a genuine box.

I am leaving shortly but if you can have a quick look through and post back, I will have you back up in a jiffy.

Ok just one second. I will give you all the details if you had put version 4 on a clone you might have killed it.

    Update Guide For Starview Clone

OK all the firmware/software you need to upgrade the Starview is in the link at the end of my post, marked Eamos FTA Library.

    1. Download the Starview PDF Guide, found in Starview Documentation Folder. This will show you how to flash your Starview.
    2. Download GTromloader, found in Starview Software Folder.
    3. Download Version 2.57eE fixed firmware, (only for clone boxes), found in Starview Firmware folder.

I am gone for the evening but Fergus is about and will help you out if you get stuck.

These instructions will sort you out, (and will overwrite the previous bad firmware you installed). Please read the Starview Guide this will give you a step by step method of how to flash your Starview. Best of luck.
