star view digital receiver

i have brought a star view receiver but i cannot find the software to download to get the chargeable channels. can anyone help??

Hes a she And you can get it in Eamo's as per instructions at the bottom of my post.

 

ive done that but now when i connect to the tv it just comes up the box and on the cable box there a green light but wont respond to remote and when switch of same thing happens

 

Thats because you loaded the Firmware for The Box whereas you need the firmware for a genuine Starview 1, read her instructions they are quite specific to what firmware goes with what box.

Get the correct firmware and reflash it, if you are still having problems, just shout.

 

thanks for your help. ive tryed doing it again but now says flash update failed on gtrom

 

the scroll doesnt even move it stays on 0%

 

Using the correct firmware, (which one are you using now?). Try the bad flash method here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363#3215755 it may take a few attempts.

 

thats worked now but its gone back to how it was and its still coming up with the same thing. i get sky sports and everything but theres a dollar sign and it comes up with a black screen. sorry if i seem a bit thick but havnt done anything like this before

 

If you used the latest genuine Cryptstar firmware. Press menu, type 1570 and make sure key emu is on. The exit out to Sly sports.
