star wars 3 dosent play !!!!

    Iv got the right codecs(divx5) updated with klite mega pack and tried also with ace codec pack but dosent work. i have tried to check the right codecs wit Avi codec and G-spot but they all say iv got divx5 required to play the file. pls do i have 2 delete all my viseo codecs or what? thanx 4 any reply

    Codec packs are (IMO) a nightmare.

    personally I would get rid of them and stick to FFDshow and Xvid

    I agree. Uninstall (NOT 'delete') any codec pack and simply install

    a.1) FFDShow
    or
    a.2) last version of DivX free (5.2.0? Only to uncompress DivX AVIs)

    plus

    b) Xvid (full codec, good and free, needed to COmpress and DECode AVIs) on your PC.
