Hey guys, i am just making sure of some things before i make this windows 7 transition. i am using the windows easy transfer to move my files to another hard drive cause i have xp right now and of course you all know that u have to do a clean install to make win 7 work. what i want to know is how do i transfer my bookmarks for mozilla, is window easy transfer doin it for me? or do i need to physically go into the program files folder and transfer that stuff myself. what have you guys used to transfer your files and settings?

You can manually copy your firefox favorites by saving your current profile and then restoring it when you have Windows 7 setup. Your profile is stored in the following location.

    C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

    Here's a link for step-by-step instructions.

Or if you have multiple computers that run firefox, I highly recommend an addon called Weave Sync. It not only does bookmarks, but preferences and saved passwords.

    More info here. http://labs.mozilla.com/weave/
