I'm starting over with my movie collection now that DVDs have become the new BETA video cassettes (as have VHSs).

Cost is always taken into consideration here (free is good), but what should I get to start backing up my Blu-Rays?

    Burner (cost): ?
    Blu-Ray blank media (cost): ?
Backup rip program (cost ... free would be nice): ?

All I want are the movies only (on the Blu-Rays). I could care less about bonus materials.

I've always used Rip-It-For-Me (one-click mode) to back up my DVDs.
Basically DVD Decrypter to Shrink to Decrypter (to burn). It's never failed me.

Will those still work with Blu-Ray or am I going to have to learn a bunch of new programs (I want the easiest one to just rip "movie only")?

Also, if I go "movie only" will I lose picture quality? Since, that's essentially the point of having a blu-ray is the picture quality, I don't want to lose that.
That's all I care about, anyway - watching just the movie on my 1080 widescreen!

    Thanks.
