i had problems with mine to start so don't give up.. follow everthing in the guids word for word. make sure your ports are correct and its a null modem cable(essential).I had to use a mates old pc with xp on it, and it still took 4 attempts to work, are you using vista?. If the box scans beforeand and pics up chanels, but you cant watch some of them then it should be ok to be flashed. Is it a clone? there is a thread which will help with that(somewhere).

I have this same problem! And i have followed everything to the letter!

I'm ready to give up myself. My box is the same version, I have tried scanning and it picks up all the channels but they dont update. I can obviously view all the free channels.

What gets me is the "flash fail"

I have tried flashing with the latest Nov 30th FW but am unsure if I should be doing something first.

I also have 2 x Starview 2 which I have fixed no bother. I had to upgrade the FW first then load the logo and then the new 30/11 update and it worked great..... Is it possible I need to do something similar to my starview 3??

    pls help! lol
