Hi all, just got the starview 3 super for my dad,trying to set the thing up and its coming up no programs found. I have the starview 2 at home at its working no problem, I will try to swap them round but in the mean time i would appricaited any suggestings. I have : Ntl to cable input scart to t.v. 1570 emu is on version is 6.00 I think i reset factory settings when messing around but it still should work on the 6.00 ver shouldnt it? I'd like to avoide any flash fix if possible as i dont have the cables handy. Many Thanks
double check where your putting the cable, are you getting a signal when you press SL on the remote? Have you selected the correct provider on set up?

thanks lads, i brought the box up to my own place last night, and swaped it out for my own box, done the scan and nothing, all cables are fine and have provider setup thanks mikah, will order a null modem cable and try the update, will let you know how i get on thanks just realised i have no serial port, do i need both the null modem & the usb to serial cables?..if anyone can recommend a cheap enough site to buy that would be great thanks
yeah paulie, youll need the null modem & the usb to serial port adapter. you`ll get them cheap on flebay.
thanks lads flased the box and its working perfectly, just a little tip for anyone who follows the link for flashing step by step, if you have a super box (star.iew 3) remember to use the gt rom super loader...was scatching the head for awhile to figure out why the other one didnt work thanks again paulie
Well done, but the firmware for the Super is similar to a UFL, (Unified Firmware Loader) and so has the loader and firmware combined?
