i understand that people are on the job doing the uk fixes for variuos types and models of starview and eurovox box's i would greatly appreciate it if any 1 could steer me in the right direction or post a link in to where a can get the following firmware thx.... starview 1(needs to be 1) euro-vox( also the very first 1) it says euro.tv on it in the right hand corner the box is silver all round thx again...
Is that correct? There will be no fix coming available for the Starview 1? If so anyone recommend a futureproof(ish!) upgrade Thanks
dream on peeps, its not in their interests to make a fix for sv1, its time they got more money out of us
You won't be buying a new box if you can change the keys and the people giving us the keys for the key changer and the same ones who will release the fix. So maybe we should give them some slack
no matter how many times i read that post it still doesnt make sense to me, what are u trying to say?
My dad also has the starview 1, from what i have read the starview 3 or 4 is the best upgrade option, the eurovox ex5000 does not seem to get very good writeups, pity as it is a better solution to starviews external hd solution. The best picture quality seems to be the krytpview, this is a more complicated box to flash and setup tho. best price i have seen is £79.99 for starview 3 and £114.99 for starview 4 without hd and £144.99 with 120gb hd
Why would you buy another Starview? Why would anyone? If they value their customers poorly enough to abandon them after 2 years or so then perhaps another supplier may be in order.
good point i heard eurovox have better epg, but i have a box pvr so im stuck with them for a while, and i still havent got a fix yet
I have a starview 1 and a kryptview bought in september and I have to say that the Kryptview is not any harder to flash than the starview to be honest. I hope they do do a fix for the starview as just before xmas is not a good time to be spending out extra cash.
I only meant that the kryptview is a little more fiddly to install after a flash, you need to pick a local broacast station as well as a cable provider
